Thread: Finding out what I bought, exactly...

For some time, I have been lurking to buy my first frameback.
Today, I won this on Ebay:

It looks like a Wostenholm I saw a while back, but it's a different brand. The tang stamp says: "S G C D 724"
Is there anyone that could tell me more about it?

well the easy part... that seems to have horn scales (corne) sgcd is the initail so an old french razor maker... the only knowledge of that is that i have one with those intials surrounded by a diamond, and underneath it says "france" then name was once written in the tang but us too worn to read. mine is a pretty good shaver.
