Antique store trip
Today I went with my youngest daughter to a bunch of antique stores. I think I found where a couple of the wonderful ebay sellersare hiding. Of the stores that had any razors, one had 3 razors that looked like crosscut saws. No joke, if you ever could grind enough steel away it may be a 1 or 2/8 when you were done and they wanted 15.00 for each, go figure. I just looked athe the clerk and he only shrugged, go figure.
I did manage to find a coarse DMT bench hone for 7.00. Hopefully that will flatten my barbers hone.
Another store I found a bare blade, for 3.00 no scales, that was a genco blade that just had to come home.
There were two razors I passed a Red Imp 132 I think, decent scales some tarnish and rust on the blade they wanted 29.00
The other was a Genco Chieftan, the scales were red with a wood like grain pattern and silver colored bolsters on each end. they wanted 20.00, the scales looked pretty good and the blade had some tarnish and was rusted on the spine.
As I said I passed on these two, what do you all think? I didnt have a camera so I couldnt get pictures but from the descriptions do you think they might have been worth it?

go back and get those two blades... point out the tarnish and rust... and offer them $30 for the pair... haggle some but even at the original price i would probably buy them.
Be just and fear not.
