Thread: Newbie just bought two razors from ebay

I would appreciate some opinions on whether I did good or not on my purchases I got them both for 61 dollars total and also if anybody has heard of either company and maybe a little history on them if possible. I tried to find some history on them but didn't find anything useful. I used the item description from the ebay seller to describe the razors

Razor 1 On the blade it reads Hand Hammered - shows a picture of a hand and a hammer and also reads Trademark - On the tang it is plastic or bakelite - it reads Clark Bros. Cutlery - Made in Germany - It shows some wear from opening and shutting - on the reverse side of the tang there is a crack in the plastic where the pin goes through. The cellulite handle is carved with flowers on it. Very good condition, with the original box that reads Clark Bros. Cutlery Co. on it. - they have come out of a museum collection.






Razor 2
the blade reads Richards Best - with some engraving and on the back side of the blade reads Richards & Conover Hdwe. Co. Kansas City, MO. The tang appeasrs to be Mother-of-Pearl overlaid with a black handle, probably plastic, is in good condition - they have come out of a museum collection.

The box for #2 is not the right box

for $60 shipped i would say good job. even if they are just ok, you didn't get completely ripped. and they look decent. especially the top one!
