Thanked: 4I own a belt strop , made by NON XLL STROP CO. NY. none as the , PERFECT BELT STROP # 20
now that I understand the trade mark NON XLL was used by Joseph Allen $ Sons after 1865 and probably ( possibly ) used
by others I am wondering just , who , actually made this Strop , I found a picture of the strop ( without a doubt ) on a collectors web site.
being that he has around 1700 pieces in his collection I believe his description of the Strop to be valid and true .
here in is my conundrum , was it made by Unwin & Rogers between 1838 and 1865 , or , ? , oh the dreaded ? mark .

peafowlguy,
You've resurrected a thread which has been dead for two years. In addition, it's in the 'Razors' forum but you're asking about a strop. You may want to consider starting a new thread in the proper forum to get the best exposure to your query."Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin to slit throats." -H.
