    Hello everybody.
I got this razor from a Swedish auction site.
Does anyone have info about SSA Eskilstuna straights?

Ekilstuna was a town where they made steel goods, lots of it. My Heljestrand is from there as well.
No idea who the SSA company is.

Actually, I don't know either, but the razor does look nice. How shaves it?

Don't you know that SSA is Svenska Sockerfabriks AB/Sockerbolaget? :P

I think I have an SSA lying on my Heap(tm) somewhere. Swedish steel has a good reputation (and deserves it), it should be a fine razor.

Okey here are some new pictures that i have taken. The one above is from the auction site.

Take a close look at the logo. It looks as it is made with our modern tools, or could they do "engravings" like that back in the day?
The knife is in excellent shape but I get the feeling this isn't a old/classic knife.

Well, I didn't spend much, so if it isn't any good, no harm done

tomiso, is there any particular reason you think this may not meet your expectations?
It looks to be good. How's it feel?

Well, my first reaction was that it might be some kind of forgery.

I haven't tried it out yet. It need to be sharpened first
