This was the video that spurred me to buy my TIPTLE. Nice to put a member id to the video, and thanks for making that video.

I really love my #143 TIPTLE. I don't know why but it's by far my fastest razor to shave with. It typically only takes about 5 minutes to shave with it, but anything else takes about 9-12 minutes. It's not just sharpness because a Feather AC takes me the same time as my other razors. Whatever it is, I'm a huge fan.

Hahahaha! Your video is one of the very first I watched when I started getting interested in straights. I still find it humorous how you took your sweet time, yet still managed a perfect straight shave in three minutes. Good stuff!

And I sit here in envy of these stunning PT razors The more I look at 'em, the more I love 'em.

It's nice to be on the forums. Lots of new faces (so to speak) around; good to see. I'm really glad that my video got a lot of people started in this wonderful ritual, and that they found their way here. On topic, I love this razor. It has a feel and sound when it cuts that is unique and special.

    Cheers

Dog! I have to say I love this video. I really liked the music, wasn't it a Rod Stewart tune. This video got me going into straights, I must have watched it 50 times. I have always wanted to say thanks!

I really like the shape of that blade. The only thing that kept me from getting one was that I despise having to worry about gold plating. I'd feel guilty removing it and I'd always be worried that I'd do it accidentally. In my mind, straights are practical and sissified delicate gold plating has no place on them. Still, that is a great looking razor.

    Thanks Riooso
Yeah, it was Maggie Mae. Funny thing is my wife had the cd in the bathroom boom box and I pressed play before shaving. Camera was on tripod behind my right shoulder. Very spontaneous. Here it is with the music.
