Default What Did I Screw Up?

I got my Dovo SS razor back from having it sharpened about a week or two ago, haven't really used it much, just a few times. I noticed it didn't "stick" to my finger when I touched the blade but it still shaved ok.
I used it the other day and it didn't shave very well so I passed it over my forearm to test it and it didn't cut any hairs but it didn't pull any, just slid over them.
I stropped it a little after each shave.
The only thing I can think of is that I may have messed it up by stropping it wrong.
Any other ideas about what I might have done?

Are you stropping before you shave?

No, I strop after I shave and the razor dries.

You should always strop before you shave. That may be part of the problem but I suspect not whats causing the lack of sharpness. be careful when you strop.

+1, You may need to have the razor re-honed if it doesn't respond to stropping before you shave.

Ok, thanks, I'll probably just do that. I just recently got a second razor, but I still switch back and forth between my straight, DE, and cartridges. I plan on transitioning to a straight only and occasionally the DE if I get good enough.
