Thread: Italian Razor Manufacturers?

Does anyone know of any Italian production straight razors? I know there are several German companies. I know of at least one French manufacturer. It seems that anything the French and Germans do, Italians will feel obliged to do also. I love Italian style, cars, boats, food, women, etc. I am guessing if there's an Italian manufacturer of straight razors (not custom but production) they would be worth a try.

Thanks Doc! That's a great listing of old razor makers. I am looking for a company (or companies) in Italy that are currently producing and selling straight razors.

There are very few manufacturers who are currently making razors. There's Dovo (in Germany) and Thiers-Issard (in France). You could perhaps count Wacker as a manufacturer as well, but that's really about it unless you start counting the custom razor makers.

Thanks but I already stated this. Once again, I am looking for a company in Italy that is currently manufacturing a line of straight razors (not custom so no Maestro Livi).

I'm afraid your out of luck.

Yes, and I meant that there are no other manufacturers who make good razors besides those I mentioned.
