Thanked: 351Thanks for the clarification. I don't have a problem with using someone to handle the store front issues, but it seems that having a middle man during the design process might unnecessarily add confusion to it all. I'm just thinking out loud here... I want x features in a razor, I try to convey this to Lynn or Don and then they have to try and convey that to you.... it would seem there is additional room for errors to creep in that way. If you are planning to simply create razors of your own design and sell them through said website, there isn't an issue. I'm just thinking of commissioned works, where the customer calls the shots on the design and you have to interpret said instructions to create the final product.

This concern makes sense, but with Lynn and Don doing the interpretation, and Joe doing the work, I doubt there is much to worry about.

I'll still do the interpretation. Besides, there's not much to interpret. A guy says (for example) he wants a 7/8 spike with a certain type of filework with a certain handle material. Not really a whole lot of room for screwups, but if I have any questions, I'll certainly contact the customer.

I think the concern would be if something were accidentally left out, or a simple miscommunication.
I ordered my first custom recently, and there were probably 15 messages back and forth discussing the details, a couple of additions and modifications before we were on the same page. Even still, I left a great deal to the artist, in terms of the detail work, and just asked for a classy looking razor.
I can see complications arrising if I were trying to get the same details worked out with Lynn, and then having him relay the order to you with no customer communication involved on your part.
But as you have said, if you contact the buyer with any questions, and clarify his requests... You have already considered this.
I'm glad to see you are getting a more defined web presence, many of us were wondering if you would take orders or set up a page, this solves that issue. Now we just have to start saving our pennies.
