    well you got me thinking and searching and the more I did the more your question turned into a quest as now i wana know !

    There was indeed a 'Bismarck Razor Works' in Solingen C. 1900 - 1930 - Dovo bought the trade name in around 1957 and still use it today on some of their razors. The other way a 'Bismarck' is known is by the blade shape - shoulderless and (to my eyes anyway) very elegant - as indeed the Dovo Bismarcks are now. You do not say what blade type yours is but if a shouldered blade it's likely a 'Bismarck Works' razor.

    Bismark Razor Works made all varieties of razors. I have seen many spiks from Bismark.

    Here is my Bismarck Razor Works. It has some hone wear but honed nicely and shaved nice.
