W&B price
I have a 7/8ths wade and butcher wedge that I am thinking about selling. and have had mahogany scales put on it, and had it polished up to a shine. There are no noticeable pitting or staining or anything. I was thinking about offering it for about 250 but am not sure what a fair asking price is. If you owned this razor how much would you sell it for? I was thinking about posting it on ebay.

Yup, pics would be helpful.
I'm torn here:
If the W&B had original scales, since you're looking to sell it and I assume get the maximum price you can, IMHO I would have said absolutely sell it on Ebay rather than BST here.
Rescaled razors on Ebay? I haven't personally seen many or what they go for. I think people like us can certainly appreciate the amazing beauty of the many new handmade scales put on old blades, but I wonder if that's because of who we are?

Have you sold alot on eBay already? This is a nice razor. I think you might be taking a risk on eBay if you don't have a high sellers count. I'm not comfortable with posting a price in a post. If you like I would you my opinion in a PM.

I have only sold a couple things on ebay. I have good feedback for all of my thirty transactions though. I was hoping this might catch someones eye who just had to have it.Last edited by matt; 04-19-2008 at 11:35 AM.

Well after 1 day on ebay the razor has a couple watchers but no bids yet. I started the bidding at 242. Hopefully I will get my 3.50 worth and someone will buy it within the next 6 days. If anyone here has any interest here is the link.

Thanked: 3795I absolutely agree. No one is likely to offer to pay $242 for a razor that does not show extremely clear photos. Your dark images of the blade could lead someone to believe that you are hiding a flaw in the blade. You are much more likely to get your price if you show better pictures.
