Default Razor Mystery - Need Detectives....

I need someone to help me figure this out... I was browsing E-Bay France and came across this... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWN:IT&ih=013
item# 230242033491The description translates as Former Razor - White Steel - 14 cm long
Ok... for 20 bucks it looked like a nice restore opportunity to keep me busy. Got it in the mail about an hour ago.... it is the heaviest razor I have ever felt. It weighs more than my cat. It had layers of grime on it so I've been cleaning it ever since. I cannot make out the metal.. if I didn't know better, I'd guess sterling. It is very well made. The only markings are at the very base of the razor... C on H.M. The "on" has a line under it.
Anyone want to hazzard a guess as to the history or maker of this razor??
I have enclosed a full resolution pic.

Metal that dense means only one thing: it must be a Chronik . . .

The blade itself seriously reminds me of a Wapi.

I have 2 Wapi's. It does resemble one but much heavier. Seriously, this thing feels like a lead weight. I need to find out what the printing means. ......... C on H.M.
