Thread: Ding Bat

I bought a nice Wapienica from Mike recently. Nice shave, though I had some trouble getting used the the weight of the scales. About the 4th or 5th time using it, I set down partially opened and it slid into the sink. Horrors! I looked it over and sure enough, there was a ding in the edge. I assumed it the edge of the blade had hit the scale but there' s much clearance between the 2 scales, I don't see how it could have happened. Nevertheless, the ding wasn't there before and it is now. I guess the lesson to be learned (the hard way for me) is never, never, never lay your razor down unless it's fully closed.

Ouch! It should hone out okay. After all, it's a Wapi.

Yeah, that doesn't look as bad as I thought it would, If the pictures are accurate, I should have no problem honing it out.
