    Default Henckles Emperor Razor

The other day I was wandering around an antique store and saw this particular razor.

It was marked $100 although the guy said he'd take $50.

The blade was in pretty good condition, no rust or cracks.

This would be my first straight, so would it be decent to start out on?

Henckels made an excellent razor - I have an Emperor myself and enjoy shaving with it. It's a No. 81 blade, 4/8 in size....think I paid $40 for it a few months ago. I wouldn't pay $100 but $50 should be fair if she's in good shape!
