Thanked: 1212Poll: are you a razor collector?
Something Izlat wrote in the B/S/T section, got me wondering.
Are most members here seasoned collectors? Or is the majority just addicted to straight razor shaving? Or are you new and still unaware about the turn your life just took?
While I don't really consider myself a collector of anything, I have to admit I have acquired more razors than expected. I'm on some quest to try-out the different blade sizes, grinds, stainless/carbon alloys.
Is that how the much debated RAD starts out? He asks himself a bit worried?

I just got started in Feb, and I def went through a newbie RAD phase where I wanted everything under $50. I curbed the RAD by limiting myself to seven razors max. Now that I've been shaving for a while, I've found that I prefer thicker blades, so I'm reorganizing my stock. I'm under seven now, but that might build back up. But on my budget and with my taste in razors, I'm more worried about making a single impulse buy that ending up with too many.

Thanked: 1587I'd class myself as a user who never throws anything away! Stuff just accumulates until eventually it looks like a collection to outsiders, but is really just clutter to those who know me. Not really at that point yet with razors, but give me a few more years

Thanked: 586I don't believe I am what you'd call a "collector". However, it is becoming apparent that straight razors are gathering in my bathroom and my workshop to spawn.

My name is Ockham and it's been a week since I have bought my last razor...
Ok boys... let's face it... I'm doomed. I'm a two weeks straight shaving newbie... and during the first week I managed to buy 5 razors (the first three before even trying)... The only way to stop the bleeding of my wallet was to promise my wife that I will wait until I have a decent job to purchase more (I'm a PhD student...)
Can anybody help ? or want to join the RAA ?

I'm about to sell part of the herd. No collector here! My RAD is cured, - I hope! I'm also offering my services to treat your RAD! Free of charge! Just send your surplus razors to me!

I didn't vote because I'm inbetween. In general I don't collect however I have a goal of acquiring one each of every Double Duck Razor so its kind of yes and no.
