Thread: West Point razors?

Can anyone tell me a little about these razors? I picked up a few more (*sigh* ) "project" razors at the local flea market this past weekend, one of which is one of these. I can't seem to find any information on these razors on the net, and there doesn't appear to be any references in local threads here.

The blade is marked on one side with the moniker "West Point" with a cutlass through the "P" of Point. The other side is stamped with "Damascus Steel Made in Germany." The point of the razor angles in at a 30 degree angle (maybe less.. I'm not going to measure it with a protractor :P).

I would also be very interested in seeing any pictures of these razors if you have one in your collection. The blade on this one looks marred with minuscule pitting all across the blade... I just want to see another example of this razor before I commence to blistering my thumb... er, I mean, hand sanding..
