Thanked: 4More good ideas. I have some newsprint and will be giving it a go soon. The (relatively) good news is that this morning's shave had maybe 3-4 red spots, but nothing that left a mark once I left for work. So it's not like I have red polka-dots or the beginnings of a rash when I enter the office.
Thank you all again!

Thanked: 4Update: I stropped on newspaper this morning, maybe 30 round trips, and the blade felt a little different on the paper when I stopped. The shave was a bit more work (not as sharp), and halfway through I stropped on the CrO - maybe 10 round trips - and started the other side. Better, but still not quite there. Another 10 laps on the CrO and things were better. Not quite effortless, but better.
Best of all: no blood spilled. I think there's a little more work ahead to get it properly dialed in, but I think the newsprint dialed it back a bit and now I'll be more judicious about the CrO strop.
Thanks once again!

Thanked: 4942If you have a linen strop, try 30 strokes on the linen side and 30-40 on the leather for a few days after the Ghromium Oxide gets it where you want it.
