You're welcome! I picked mine up online through Amazon for about 25 dollars plus shipping...maybe 29 plus shipping!

Carl Schlieper made great razors. I have got 2, one of them is the sharpest razor I own, almost too sharp for comfort!

German Eye is a perfect example of how some razors that are hyped up go for huge prices and others that are unknown but of equal quality can be had for a song. German Eye razors are the equal of a High Class Puma.

There is my Carl Schlieper. It is very good razor with sonorous and elastic steel. It requires very careful shaving - very easy to cut yourself, but I very like this razor.

I contacted the modern Schlieper company recently - I emailed a representative in Solingen - in German - asking if there was a company historian or long time employee whom I could speak to about the company's razor related history. Sadly however all I learned is that the brand name is now owned by Friedrich Olbertz, a pocket knife manufacturer, and that no one at that firm knows anything about Schlieper's Rasiermesser days. A shame as they are fine razors!
