    Default Wipe down my razor?

I have a stainless steel blade and am new to straight razor shaving. My question is what can be used to wipe my razor dry after daily use? I'm concerned about dulling my blade. Is a bath towel acceptable or should I be using something else. Thanks for the input!

Opinions differ. Personally I wipe lather from the blade on a towel while shaving, so I also wipe the blade after rinsing with a dry towel. I also dip the blade in alcohol and wipe with a dry towel before putting it up.

I "pinch" and wipe most of the blade with a towel, but use a gentle stropping motion on a towel laying flat on the counter to avoid damaging the edge. Different strokes and all that....

My Thiers-Issard is silver steel and I've wiped it dry every other day since 1998 and it still as shiny as the day I got it. Don't fear a good barbers cloth or towel. Unlwess maybe your the Hulk.

I fold up a towel next to the sink while I shave. I strop lightly after I rinse the blade. when I am finished, I flip over the towel and strop 1 more time then use the pinch and wipe. I have yet to dull a razor on a towel.

I can't say the same for a strop.
