    Default Dovo "Silver Steel"

Can anyone tell me how this differs from their carbon steel blades. As far as I can tell Dovo uses stainless, carbon and silver steel blades. I can't decide which to get. Perhaps silver steel is less subject to corrosion?

Silver steel is carbon Steel. Usually they distinguish between English Silver Steel and swedish Steel and of course there's good old U.S Steel and probably Spanish steel and who knows how many other kinds. Its all in the trace elements that make the difference. The Silver Steel is usually considered to be the cats meow in straight steel. Actually the stainless used in razor steel is pretty far off from what true stainless is. Its more a rust resisitant steel.Either way its all good stuff and will shave you proper. Just stay away from the Pakisani and Indian stuff and probably Chinese too.
