Solingen
I have an acquaintance going to Solingen. He is in good with the local manufacturers I guess. He has offered to buy Razor(s) there for me.
Who is still making them? He thinks Witte, Puma, Hugo Pott, Peres and others. Anyone know for sure?
What makers should I suggest? He thinks he can get items with minor flaws that didn't make it to market (sounds like seconds to me).

The person who might be able to help you is John Crowley at Shaving Shop - luxury classic shaving products - straight razors. Other than that try the German razor forum

From what I have heard Wacker was supposedly the last surviving guy left doing straight with old blanks. I know for sure Puma hasn't made one in years.

Dovo is Merkur. They have an internet site.
Dovo has made for just about everybody including CASE, DD and PUMA.
