What compares to Sta-sharp
In new make razors, what compares to the hardness/ shave quality of vintage Sta-Sharp chromized razors?
I have one (and 2 more on the way, Giggedy!), and am curious. None of the 20 or so vintage razors I have are as..brittle? to hone but yield such a fine/hard? edge. I have heard they are as hard as a good Wacker or TI silverwing.
I dunno, I don't have any of those razors, but I dig the edge I get on the Sta-sharp, as compared to a few Wostenholms, Robesons, Bokers and other misc. razors.
I am asking because I think it is probably one of my best shavers, but I would like a reference point for future purchases (if I ever buy a new razor).
Anybody who owns a Sta-Sharp and any other, well...expensive razors, please feel free to chime in.
Thanks gents. Joe K.

Thanked: 15I can't answer your question, but I have a Sta-Sharp, and when I got it back from Lynn from being honed, I held that thing just above the skin on my arm, and I swear the hairs seemed to be so frightened of the blade, they were jumping off my arm!
A great blade indeed!
