Does anyone still sell tosuke's?
I was wondering if anyone can still get tosuke's. I am interested in getting one this week if possible.
Thanks

Saw those. They are nice. I bet they cost more than a tosuke. I will keep that in the back of my mind for now.

Thanked: 1Tosukes are getting harder to find and prices are skyrocketing, over $200 for nice, unused ones. Iwasakis are pretty easy to come by and people say that they are higher quality than Tosukes but they are really expensive, ~400-500.

I can get an iwasaki for 275 at japanese woodworker last I checked. I may just do that but it is using all of my money.

You can also buy tosukes from OLD_SCHOOL but the Iwasakis from the Japan Woodworker are a great deal, too

HMMM. For 60 dollars more I can get an iwasaki. The iwasaki is supposed to be better in quality from what I understand. Yes?

Just drop him a private message, he already replied in this here thread (reply #3)
I have both a Tosuke and an Iwasaki and while the Iwasaki is a tad better made (and looks absolutely gorgeous with the black, unpolished finish) they both shave equally great.
