Stainless Steel
Anyone have experience with these blades. I have seen them at flea markets and on ebay and wonder if anyone has experience. They are "marked" to certify 58-59 Rockwell Hardness. THey also are made in China per the stamping. What does that really mean on these and do they hold an edge after sharpened?

Personally, I think the made in china stamping speaks for itself.

I wouldn't use one but if you want to take a bullet for the group and try one let us know how it shaves and stands up.

Thanked: 13245Sorta looks like a Krieger, which I have one of (don't ask).... I have actually tried a few times to get an edge on it, but all I have accomplished is to own a very sharp $3 knife so far....

This is a Steel Warrior by Jim Frost. The red and yellow sticker points to the punch mark where Rockwell hardness was “verified”. I’ve had one and was never able to get even a remotely shaveable edge on it. Taped, untaped, big angle, little angle, course stones, fine stones, diamond stones, water stones, chrome ox pasted paddle strop, finally ground the whole thing down to nearly a full wedge and nothing worked. I gave it to a young gentleman who wanted a straight razor like Dad’s – only without a lethal edge. I ground the business edge flat and I know it is doing a wonderful job squeeging shaving cream off a cherub face. And conjecture here is that they are useless…….
