The BL was one of the first few Dovo's I purchased....terrific shaver! Haven't had any complaints with it at all. On the other hand, I did have two 6/8 Round Bismarks which, despite being great looking razors, bit me constantly. So I sold them. I can't say enough good things about the Dovo's however...I probably have 8 or 10 different models made by them over the years and a 7-Day set as well.

I can't compare the two as I've never owned a Bismark.

Had a Mountain Lion in for honing recently, it had seen plenty of use and was 12+ years old with frequent shaving. All the gold wash and rubber doohicky had gone, leaving a bare-bones blade.
You know what? It polished up soooooo well and took one hell of an edge.
Top Gun razor, no doubt in my mind.
