Thanked: 0Feather Weight Sheffield
I picked this up from a flea market for $5. This is the third one I found that day.
This "Feather Weight" has Joseph something on the shank/tang? along with Bestever Steel and Sheffield Eng. and an arrow symbol pointing to an iron cross. Some tarnish and on the blade and spine. The handle is the best of them all.
Bruno said I should have this and the Wade & Butcher I posted earlier honed. I think he said "The Celebrated" I posted earlier was over honed. I'm not second guessing you Bruno, just asking for second opinions. I wanted to have one shave ready soon as I'm itching to start shaving.
I bought a shavette at the same flea market for $3 but the pivot pin fell out...
Any advice is greatly appreciated

Hi - it's a Joseph Elliott razor. They are a Sheffield company and are still in business, having started in about 1795. This razor is of course post-1820 as it's 'silver steel' - I have seen one before. A nice piece!
