Thread: takeda vs ats 34 feeling....

hello people ! could you tell me the shaving feeling of takeda damascus?? is similar to ats 34?? is similar to sheffield razor? solingen?..i d like to buy one!..

To me the Takeda feels smoother than ATS 34. However, the Takeda blade I have is rather hefty with a shallow grind and shaves more like a wedge.

It feels different compared to stainless steel like ATS34, but it would not be fair to say its better.

My Livi/Takeda Damascus is an unbelievable shaver. The feel is difficult to explain other than to say that it feels hard as compared to a carbon blade that seems to have a softer feel to me. It takes and holds an extremely sharp edge and leaves you with "sticky" smooth skin every time.

I know that you asked about the feel of the blade as opposed to the results and I have probably fallen a bit short in my description. All I can add is that I get a super comfortable shave and find the feel to be very pleasant. These blades are in a select group of the best available in my opinion.
