    Default Question about Dovo sizes

Can anyone tell me about the relative sizes of Dovo razors? For instance, is a 4/8 blade shorter than a 5/8? In other words, do the blade sizes increase proportionally so that the razor is bigger in all dimensions? Or does the blade just increase in width? Thanks.

It is the approximate size of the razor from spine to edge. Such as 3/8 4/8 5/8 6/8 & etc. The smaller the blade the softer/finer the beard, and vice versa, generally. Hope this helps.

Most razors are the same length. Sometimes a particular style will turn out to be a tad shorter because of a sharply cut end on either the toe or heel but in general they are the same. There have been some razors that actually were a bit shorter like the Double Duck Dwarf and there are few others. So no correlation between width and length.

Can some here elaborate about the portion of this quote regarding "the smaller the blade the softer/finer the beard..."
