    False.

Up to now I have been able to hone every single quality razor to shave the hairs off my arm effortlessly (HHT never worked for me, not even on a Lynn honed razor). But no 2 razors give identical results.

False. A TI I honed recently drove me bats because although I had it up to hair-splitting order it still felt rough to the skin - a kind of raw, scrapy feeling. Yet it scared the stubble straight off - strange. Some of the smoothest shaves I have had come from old W&B big wedges that struggle to pass the HHT yet simply wipe away the whiskers without you hardly feeling it at all. I also think it is (at least in part) down to grinding, heat treatment etc., given that the same hones are used (although sometimes I will use coticules, sometimes jap waterstone depending on how the edge 'feels'. i.e.the feedback I get from the honing passes). Interesting though!
