Please tell me I didn't go stupid with this set
all right guys, definitely money is tight, price of gas, childcare etc., should be saving......but
I was cruising around looking at razors seeing what things were going for, had thought about buying another razor I didn't need (mind you tonight will be the 2nd time I try using the straight), saw a 7 day set that looked to be in pretty restorable condition.
bidding got out of hand, i tried 150 first but some jackass (probably a member here ) started gonig against me, I was irritable and figured fast in my head that 210 was still only 30 per razor, ended up at 220, please tell me I didn't bone myself on this one.
Days of the Week Straight Razor Set a/113 - eBay (item 230264287790 end time Jun-29-08 20:05:00 PDT)
I particularly liked the back of the blades, my thought was clean them all up, change the tips on some of them (carefully) and make a new box and voila, cool set. oh well, whatever the situation its mine now.
opinions?

I have a feeling the only way you'll know is when you get them, unless you already asked the seller about the razors' conditions. Not a lot of photos there - maybe you did really well

I did get one grainy photo from him in email that showed the blades closer up, didn't look like any chips in them, but very hard to tell. I'll cross my fingers.

Thanked: 1AMEN! Include hones in that as well. There's a couple of hones on ebay now with a picture of the box, but no photo of the hone. There are also NO bids.
As for the razors, I don't expect a history of the manufacturer, just an accurate description of the item. A picture (or two) is worth a thousand words.

you can refer the sellers to bill's guide to selling straight razors. but i wouldn't hold my beath - he's had it out for quite some time...
