Pea**** Scales
I'm just curious. I've seen several razors on e-bay in various conditions with a pea**** carved on the scales. Some are colored, some just white or ivory, some were colored but are losing their pigmentation. What puzzles me is that they seem to be different brands but the carvings are identical. Is it likely that they were used as replacement scales or could several razor companies have gotten the scales from a mutual source?

MY guess would be the mutual source.
