    Default NOS Hess #44 Stainless Steel

    I just got this one for myself today, A Hess Milk Hair Labs #44 Stainless Steel Frozen Temper 11/16 Spike Point NOS
    One of the easiest razors I have ever honed, will be trying the first shave in the morning wooooooohooooo!!!!!!

    As I expected after the ease of honing, this one shaves like a dream, extemely smooth on the face, my second Hess and I am impressed with both of them....

    Is your other Hess also a stainless?

    Nice looking razor. I love the extreme spikeyness of it.

    I'd never shave with it myself, I'm a roundpoint/cruise control shaver...(OK, maybe I'm just a coward!)but I love that look. Congrats!

    No the other is a #99 carbon... What really surprised me was normally I can tell the difference between a SS and a carbon I have a fairly sensitive face. Like this morning I shaved with my Dovo Stainless and I have to be extra light with shaving that razor, but the Hess SS was exceptionally smooth period, not just for a stainless....
