Default I have the best barber in Calgary

I went for my usual haircu today and got to chatting with my barber about straight shaving as he does these shaves in his shop. He thinks it is a great idea that people are going back to this kind of shaving and told me to practice on a balloon for awhile

Then the good stuff. He told me he had a bunch of "old" razors he would sell me as he usually just uses the one he likes the most and hones it himself. He was busy but showed me quickly about 5 razors in original boxes. I saw one was a Henckels and he had two that he said were ivory scales that were pretty old(I did see Solinger written on both). And a couple that I didn't really have the chance to look at closely. These were in mint shape in their original boxes and he says he'll sell them to me. Go figure.

He ws busy so we couldn't talk too much but he said when I get my first ones in the mail that I bought off the forum here to bring them in and he'll show me some stuff about care and shaving etc.

Do I have the best barber in Calgary or what?????

    Voices,

    Who is/where is your barber?

I hate to drag up an old thread, but I'm in Calgary and would like to find a new barber...I'm sick of the salon scene...even though The girls I go see are great, I need a shave and a proper haircut...

    Hope you check this!

I would be interested to know who the barber is as well and how good he is at shaving. I really would likely go only once as I don't know how I would justify paying somebody else for a shave when I have all the equipment (and then some) at home. I keep wondering if I could find a barber who would perform a shave with my straight rather than the shavettes that they usually (and I believe legally) have to use.
