I hope there is someone who can read the japanese language, because I would like to know who is the manufacturer.
At least I have a question. How can I repair the grip?
With kind regards, Paysbas

As far as the grip goes you can use just about anything. You might consider some parachute cord and wrap it with that and then coat it with something which will harden it and then protect and preserve it.

You can try some type of fishing rod wrap. It's amazing what can be done with thread and epoxy.
This is only an example to show what I mean

Thanked: 4Hey Paysbas... nice razor
The script used is an older style cursive script closer in style to the original chinese characters.
The first and second last character is really difficult to read because of the deformation
But it looks like this razor was forged by the traditional method by "Kiku Hiro"
That's all I can tell you about it mate.

Thanked: 4Hey Paysbas
It doesnt mention a date but it is quite old...
If the rattan binding was original when you got it then it would mean the razor was probably forged somewhere between 1930 - 1950 (that's a bit of an educated guess)

While we're on the subject, I'm moving to Japan for a few years and I'd love to pick up a razor or two over there. Anyone have any recommendations as to where to start looking for a high quality blade?
