    Default What kind of steel is the Famous Double Arrow?

    High carbon? Stainless? I just bought one from Stamps, and as promised, the handle is absolute crap but the blade is quite good. This is a nice project razor, for those of you with Compulsive Peening Disorder. For $13 it's hard to complain.

    whatever steel it is, it's not very hard. they are easy to sharpen, but equally easy to dull again

    I have found that mine needs to be refreshed on the swaty every other shave or so.

    It's made of depleted uranium from decommisioned Chinese nuclear reactors...










    Or maybe it' just carbon steel, but I like the first answer better.
