American Knife Co. Plymouth Hollow Conn.
Hello All!
It has been a while since my last post, but I keep an eye on things, and haven't stopped using the razors.
I have a razo I have restored that I have had for a couple of years now. 3 years ago I restored it and it was an amazing shaver. Then I had an accident with it and the blade needed some TLC and I haven't given it any until now.
It is back to being a great shaver again and it took off 2 weeks of beard growth with ease...
Here is my question.
Do any of you know of the American Knife Co., straight razors? The blade says "American Knife Co., Plymouth Hollow, Conn." It has buffalo scales I believe.
here is a link to dates of straight razors: Straight Razor Manufacturers and Dates of Operation
This site mentioned years of operation with this stamp from 1849-1875. So at a MINIMUM it is 133 years old. How is that for Quality?
Well if anybody has another one of these razors, or any info on what it may be worth, or insight at all I would appreciate it.
BTW i paid $3 for it in Chico, CA at a antique shop.
