Question Thiers Issard Spartacus, to buy or not to buy???

I have a possible deal to purchase a Thiers Issard spartacus razor, 5/8, full hollow, water spots, gold leaf relatively intact, and the edge has no nics with no smile or frown, as well as origonal bone scales with spartacus inlay. My question is not realy to buy or not, but how much I should offer/ its worth. I know its hard to go on without a picture, but suffice to say its in perfect condition except for the water spots (significant) and a little worn gold. Any imput would be appreshiated.

It's an original. If you like TI razors, go for it I would think.

I have a mint Spartacus, 6/8, and the scales are not bone.
If I really like a used razor my max is $75, but thats for a W&B 8/8 chopper. The TI?...hmmmm....with a lot of water spots?.......$45...max.

My favorite razor is 6/8 Spartacus. Bought it at ebay for $23. It took some cleaning and lot, lot, lot.... honing, but it was worth all the time spent.

    my tip is $50max

Missed that part about how much to offer. I really don't know. It depends on how much you want this razor. When I first joined SRP over at yahoo groups (I used to be "jpfaster1"-long story) I was always frustrated at how hard it was to win any of the desireable brands on eBay; back then Dovo was not considered as highly as now so my razors were just plain-jane.
Needless to say I bid on every TI I could find, and several of those Spartacus razors. Back then, I bid as high as 80 for one and to this day have never gotten one.
Times are different now. I agree with the 50 dollar crowd. Maybe 75 if you REALLY like it.
