    Default Thiers Issard new steel?

I've seen a review or two for the Silverwing.

Any other TI fans out there that have one of the other "new steel" TI's that can comment on performance of the new forgings? Compare to the older ones?

    Anybody?

    +1 on hoping for comments.

I can say I'm hoping to get one as a replacement for a defective Super Gnome that I shipped directly back to TI. The TI guy alluded to me possibly getting a Silverwing for my trouble. I sent the Super Gnome back about six months ago, confirmed that they are in receipt of my Super Gnome about two months ago and was told it could be another six months before I receive any replacement. I won't give up hope!

    hello guys,
I got both, old ones and new ones, and I feel that old ones are made with a steel easyer to hone and more confortable on shaving, this is why I bought an 100 years old blade (which is my avatar) but right now I haven' t use it (this is another story) I got some radium razors, and prefere them at TI for shaving.
always looking for better ones, my idea is to find the best maker of the 40' s or 50' s... I' m on work

I have a Silverwing LE. They are more difficult to hone but keep an edge longer and they take a wicked sharp edge. My only beef is I don't like the feel you get while shaving. Just a very heavy feel but not like a wedge. Just different in a strange way. personally I don't care for it.
