Thanked: 324Razor with abalone inlays in the blade
I don't do many inlaid razors but every once in a while someone wants one. Here's one with a total of 10 inlays between the razor and the scales. 7 in the razor, itself and three more in the ivory scales. Too bad I can't really capture the fire in the abalone. It's really brilliant.

Now THAT'S a spine that would need to be taped when honing! Nice.

That looks great! I love the spine. How do the inserts on the blade hold up to hot water and use?

Thanked: 324Thanks for the note on the error on my website. I've got that fixed.
How do the inlays hold up? They hold up better than the steel, LOL. They won't rust, they won't come loose, they won't come out and the blade will likely break before they would. I actually inlet them instead of skeletonizing the blade, which makes it a very secure fit. It's a bit painstaking but it's a nice touch.
This one's off to Europe next week.
