    Default I love razors

    OK, so who here doesn't?

I just find the aesthetic of straight razors intoxicating. Some razor have "it", and some do not. And that may be different for each one of us.

For me, a shoulderless razor with a thumbnotch makes me ga-ga. Ditto for worked back razors. A slight humpback to the tang? Very nice.

I appreciate the no-nonsense look of a clean cut spike razor, yet I would not put one to my neck. Perhaps someday...

NOS, new Dovos or TIs, Vintage antique store finds, EBAy antique junkers for restoring, they all have their appeal.

Show and tell just makes me want more....

...... I absolutely hate all straight razors and the whole idea of them..........................

Who am I kidding?!?!? I have 5 and love EVERY one of them. Who can deny their zen like soothing qualities?

Sooooooo I am assuming that this is the meeting place for our weekly RAD group, I am still looking for my sponser here

It's the history for me, not that I don't like the brand new stuff, I just love the history of a sweet vintage razor.....

    Ditto to everything you've said.

The only thing I'll add back to you is: Don't fear the spike, man! Try it, you'll like it. I really like having the cutting edge extend all the way to the toe. Precision.

Nope. I'm not gonna do it.

If I had need for precision (i.e.- goatee, mustache, etc) I may have been talked into it, but I like the way a roundpoint glides into the hollows on the sides of my trachea without any fuss. My Dovo Renaissance is the Anti-Spike, it is super rounded on the toe and the heel! It's like cruise control for my face!

Default Now I know what "beauty" is...

That Dovo is miraculous. Who could not love razors when such a blade as that exists?
