    Default Unique/eccentric razor designs

    Hi guys,

Just wanted to open a thread for anyone who has any images of their or anyone else's unique or eccentric looking straight razors. I've been looking around lately and can't seem to find any images of where a razors' design has broken the mould so to speak - I'm talking really unique customs, eccentric sized blades, long or creative monkey tails, raw bark or horn scales etc. etc. Just Different designs. I know it's reached a point where we've figured out what "works" in the design of a razor as a funtional tool, and I'm not really talking about fantasy razors here either - I mean razors intended to be used, but that just bring something fresh and unique to the table. Like I've only ever seen one image of a razor with a really big smile to it - but surely they made more razors like that in the day..

You get what I mean right?

Anyways, if anyone's got some pics of really unique looking straights, post 'em here will ya.

    Ta.

Take a look through the razor clubs, the gallery in the restoration/workshop section, and show and tell. There's some cool stuff to be seen arouth there.

Did you say Bark? I have a peculiar fondness for bark.

I started a set but made a miscalculation of sorts.

yeah bark. I like the contrast between the polished steel and the unrefined scales - I might create something like that with one of the razors I'm restoring..

Well Guys, I guess it seems there just aren't the kind of uncommon styles of razors I thought there might be.. oh well, was worth a shot. I'll have to create them and post about them I guess

Yeah guys! these fit the frame.. Keep 'em coming, I think it'll be great to have a thread documenting ALL the unique looking razors out there. I have seen some of these here on the forum, but it's just cool having them collected in one place to gawk at.

Here is a link: Fine Razors
He has some great rarzors in the gallery as well as in the products for sale area.
If the exchange rate was not so poor, I would have one of these in my collection.

    Alex,
I love your blade in the carbon fiber with the cut out in the middle. Let me know when you need someone to take it off your hands. Because I would all for taking....i mean facilitating a new home

    Great job!!
