A Razor For The Ladies....
Hello Ladies, I've noticed that there are not a lot of people making 4/8's
razors for the women so I made this up today with the ladies in mind.
Let me know what you think.
The pivot pin is decorated with real sterling silver thick caps. I was thinking of doing the same to the bottom pins but will
ask your opinion. In the middle of the scales I've put a purple cameo of
a Victorian lady gazing down at her flowers. This may be a bit too feminine,I'm not sure. I look at it as more of a Gothic look. In any case it's just a very simple look and not overboard. That may come with later razors. Thanks for your time.
Sorry about the fuzzy pics as I took them from my desk and didn't use my light tent.

Thanks Gary. While it is a beauty it's not to my tastes, but I'm sure one of the other ladies will snap it up.

It's beautiful! What's the length (blade and scales)?

Thanks LilithParker,It's a little 4/8's blade. G.H. Fralick, "Little Pet" Made in Germany. Scales are celluloid. Blade has a mirror finish and is a spike point.
If you want me to post a pic of the blade let me know. There is a small chip on the inside of one side of the scale near the butt & It's not very noticeable. I would call it in good shape. I just have to hone it to "shave ready" I was thinking of posting it in the SRP classifieds for the just the cost of honing $20 US plus the cost of shipping.

How long is the Blade?
It looks like it is a little shorter. Do you have a measurement handy?

I simply love it, it is so beautiful, very feminine, it is not a razor, it is a jewel !
The idea of the cameo is excellent, and the pivot seems to perfectly embellish the whole item. As a refined woman I think this razor is of a rare beauty.

Finished Product
Well I think I'm finished with this one. I added silver caps on the back pins and
also added a couple of gold leaves to finish it off.
