Thanked: 0Model Differences with Dubl Ducks
I'm interested in buying a Dubl Duck, but I'm getting confused by all the different models that are out there. What is the difference between shave quality of a Wonderedge, Goldedge, Pearledge, Satinedge, etc. I understand that the Wonderedges receive the highest acclaim. Is there an appreciable difference in shave quality amongst the range?

I can only speak about....
The 6/8 roundpoint wonderedge that I own. I love it. I think the biggest thing with WE, GE, and SE is that they seem to be very consistently good shavers and take an edge very well across the board. Supposedly the WE's are cryo-tempered resulting in harder steel. I don't really know (the box I have says they are) The GE and SE are both easily as well received and the Lifetime (Grim Reapers) are sought after for their rarity as well as being good shavers. Hopefully some more learned members will chime in here.

As near as I can figure out the Pearlduck DDs are all the same except for scales and ornamentation. The only departure is with the Wonderedge with the cryosteel, the stainless duck, which is stainless and the wedge which is a modified wedge. Either way they all give great shaves no matter which you get.
