Default Anyone Know Anything About John Cookhill Razors?

Has anybody here ever heard of John Cookhill razors? I know they are Sheffield steel, but that's about it. I'm more interested in their shaving quality than anything.

Hi - I think the name (on closer inspection) may prove to be ****hill, not Cookhill. If so, a fairly scarce piece. ****hill was a Sheffield maker from C. 1850 - 1900, though I cannot find many details. The one I had was a good piece and, as I would expect from Sheffield, took an excellent edge. Hone it up and give it a go!

(Sorry this stupid nanny software has removed part bof the maker's name - let's just say it's a male hen! What a world.............)
