The Henckels looks like it will clean up really nice -- the blade is in great shape, and you'll have fun rescaling it.
The J. R. Torrey, however, is more of a mystery: the pictures are of a Swedish razor -- (I think Torrey was a Massachusetts company) so there's a mismatch here. Either way, good on you -- both are keepers!

Aah. If my guess is correct, that appears to be a Torrey 'Our Beauty,' which is supposed to be a pretty fine razor.

Thanked: 335Oh oh... I may have a problem here. No one told me I had to have papers for my razors. For a pet parakeet, yes; for razors, whooda thunk it?
Is it too late to rectify my oversight? Depends, huh?

Thanked: 14It turns out that the pictures in the ebay ad for the torrey were the wrong pictures...it's a completely different razor pictures. However the written discription is correct (mins the misreading of beauty as benotg) and it is a Torrey "our Beauty"
