Thread: Farmer's Beauty Special?

Hi folks,

After finding out that I had taken up shaving with a straight, my grandmother gifted me with her father's straight razor, which she had stowed away in a chest for some 40+ years.

Has anyone heard of the make/brand/model "Farmer's Beauty Special" before? This is printed on the box, on the tang of the blade, and "Farmer's Beauty" appears in gold wash on the side of the blade. No other marks or writing...?

It's at least 50 years old, but I can find no mention of it anywhere on the web. Picture attached.
