    Default The Royal Crown Razor

    Hello Everyone....

    I have a quick question...I have a razor that is etched over the balde with the following

    THE ROYAL CROWN RAZOR
    EXTRA HOLLOW GROUND


    and in the tang

    1366 Best
    Silver Caststeel

    Does any body have a reference of it? it any thing related to the Crown and Sword?

    I have one almost exactly like yours - except that mine has ivory scales, and "the royal crown razor made in Germany" on the tang.
    It is the first straight I honed by myself, and even if it is not as sharp as those professionally honed I have - my fault of course, I am still learning - I think she will be a very nice shaver.

    I believe they were made by a German firm (EMDE) for the British market - I have seen some razors with this mark on the tang... but I am not sure.

    Hope you'll enjoy shaving with her.
