The Henckels looks like it will clean up really nice -- the blade is in great shape, and you'll have fun rescaling it.

The J. R. Torrey, however, is more of a mystery: the pictures are of a Swedish razor -- (I think Torrey was a Massachusetts company) so there's a mismatch here. Either way, good on you -- both are keepers!

Why the seller couldn't have snapped a meaningful pic of the makers mark/tang stamp it beyond me.

Aah. If my guess is correct, that appears to be a Torrey 'Our Beauty,' which is supposed to be a pretty fine razor.

Oh oh... I may have a problem here. No one told me I had to have papers for my razors. For a pet parakeet, yes; for razors, whooda thunk it?
Is it too late to rectify my oversight? Depends, huh?

It turns out that the pictures in the ebay ad for the torrey were the wrong pictures...it's a completely different razor pictures. However the written discription is correct (mins the misreading of beauty as benotg) and it is a Torrey "our Beauty"
