Helmut Dinger Dovo
Hello,
I was at an auction today and purchased two Dovos at a very reasonable price. I was pleased with my
buy until I got them home and attempted to do find out more about them. They both are encased in
blue plastic boxes marked "Helmut Dinger - Solingen - Kaiserlautern". The blade has SOLINGEN etched
with a gold wash and the tang is marked 774 with the Dovo logo and "DOVO Solingen Made in Germany"
and "Helmut Dinger - Solingen - Kaiserlautern" on the reverse side. I Googled several variations and
combinations of these key words and searched the forum archives here, all with no success. Can
anyone give me any information about this particular Dovo model?
Thanks for your help,
Walt

Sorry I cant offer any specific information about the razor. It does appear to be an original Dovo for sure. If your still not pleased with your purchase you can contact me with your price.

I guess I worded my post incorrectly Damon. I'm not disappointed in the razors, but rather that I hit
such a brick wall in trying to locate some information regarding their origin/history. Even Dovo's internet
site, which has a history of the company, doesn't mention Helmut Dinger. I have emailed them (Dovo) in
the hope that I can find some additional information from them.

Vendors would often have the name of their firm on razors and / or boxes.

+1 on Kees comment - almost certainly a local retailer.
