I think that the "Double Ducks" (dubl) are probably one of the easiest brands to hone and will give one of the best shaves.

There are many others that will, also, perform well, but I think most of the members will agree, this one will always perform consistantly well!

    * You can't go wrong with a "Duck"!

There are so many vintage brands of great razors out there. I would say buy any quality razor. Its more what size and grind you want more than the brand.

    Default Scottish Razors

Observed a razor at local antique shop today.

It was hollow ground, 6/8 size and had the name McPearson Brothers on the tang. Print was not too good but blade was in excellent shape, appeared to be an old razor with gray scales, not sure of what material they were made of.

Can anyone offer help with more info on this razor.

    thank you in advance.

Wouldn't it be more correct to be pedalpowerboating rather than pedalpowersailing? If you have sails, I can't see where you would need pedals. Oars might even be better. It is amazing how fast you can get a shell moving with those things.

I'm done now and pre-apologize for the rant

    Tim,
(btw - the boots cream was really good - first of the bunch i've used.....!)
I use 2 Wapi's all the time. Easy to hone good shavers. The blades seem quite 'stiff' compared to my puma.
they have got to be the best value for money around.
I you haven't got one, don't buy 1 yet, i'll pm you later / tomorrow.
